We are Heron.
Heron is a post-rock instrumental band hailing from the Pennsylvania Wilds. Their transcendent sound blends resonant, melodic elements with darker and more ambient tones.
Heron’s debut release, You Are Here Now, is an emotionally evocative and vividly dynamic musical narrative with underpinnings that call to mind This Will Destroy You, Sigur Ros, The Appleseed Cast, and Pink Floyd. It is more of a composite sound experience than a series of songs, and its spacious vibes blur the lines of generic appeal, engaging listeners of diverse ages and musical tastes.
Evident in the band’s rich and swelling expression is their passion for authenticity, goodness, and beauty, and their love for the wild outdoors.

Arctic drones Review: “You Are Here Now”
"Of all the promising new bands to emerge in the past several months, Heron may have the most exciting potential, possessing a rare kind of chemistry that can't be manufactured [...] Within its seven songs, the album triumphantly surveys calming tranquility, swelling hopefulness, darkness and light, sadness and joy, and an evocation of the natural world's crushing beauty."
Svbterranean Review: “You Are Here Now”
"Their calming, introspective brand of instrumental rock effectively reduces the tumult of the outside world, as well as that of inner strife, to a dull whisper. Thanks in part to its glossy instrumentation, smooth pace and atmospheric fervor, You Are Here Now is a welcomed addition to the post-rock canon."
